Plugin Updates and Compatibility Policy
Effective 31 October 2026 · Last updated 31 October 2026
We maintain RedConic plugins so they keep working with current versions of WordPress and WooCommerce. This policy explains how updates and compatibility work.
1. Types of updates
- Security updates — released as soon as practical after an issue is confirmed.
- Maintenance updates — bug fixes and compatibility adjustments.
- Feature updates — new or improved functionality, described in release notes.
2. Supported environments
Each plugin's product page and documentation list the minimum WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions it supports. We generally aim to support the current major releases of WordPress and WooCommerce and recent previous versions. Older versions may stop being supported when they no longer receive security updates from their maintainers.
3. Third-party themes and builders
Where a product page names a page builder or theme as supported, we test with it. Other themes and plugins usually work but cannot all be tested, and their own updates can change behaviour.
4. Receiving updates
Customers with an active licence receive updates through the WordPress dashboard or by download. Back up your site and test updates on a staging copy before updating a live store.
5. Ending support for a product
If we decide to retire a plugin, we will give reasonable advance notice. Installed copies continue to work, but updates and support will end at the announced date.
